16 Hour Group Drama Workshop
Through theater workshops we teach a growth mindset mentality. This helps participants to build life skills, confidence, communication techniques, practice team building, encourages creative development, and creates a fun, exploratory environment for children. In this 16 hour workshop for children ages 5-12, students receive a mini boot camp in all things theatre! Help your group or organization teach children life skills like listening, clear communication and enunciation, problem solving, relationship building, and critical thinking all while having fun! The week long workshop is best completed consecutively, but can be offered as a either an intensive weekend, consecutive weekend, week long, or month long program. The workshop culminates in a student produced showcase for parents.
KEY LESSONS:
Core One: Improv

Core Two: Script Writing-students are introduced to games and activities that help them gain an understanding of the writers process and begin to create their original show.
Core Three: Music (song composition, string instruments, percussion) students learn the basics of music and voice.
Core Four: Acting-students begin exercises to teach about acting
Core Five: Dance-students are introduced to the various forms of dance
Core Six: Collaboration-students learn the importance of collaboration and put originally produced exercises to practice
Core Seven: Costumes-students create individual costume pieces for their show
Core Eight: Comedy-students learn about comedy through games and skits
Core Nine: Rehearsal-students learn the importance of rehearsal and put cumulative knowledge to practice.
